About

Who makes MixPill.

MixPill inserts itself into the audio path of every app on your Mac. That's not something to hand over to a name on a website you can't verify — so here's who's actually behind it.

MixPill is built by Grio Works, based in Turkey. It exists because macOS has never shipped a real volume mixer or per-app routing — so it got built.

It's signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple before every release — you can verify that yourself from the download page. If something breaks, you're emailing the person who wrote it: kuntayerkus@gmail.com.

Why this app exists

macOS has never shipped a per-app volume mixer. Apple's Core Audio process tap API, introduced for third-party developers in macOS 14.4, finally made it possible to build one without a kernel extension or virtual audio driver. MixPill is one answer to that gap — not the only one; see the guide to per-app volume on macOS for the honest list of alternatives.
